Since I renewed my subscription, I have been unable to update the virus definitions. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling and even tried to get the old system back. I paid for Systems mechanic twice and still can't update the virus. I don't have any firewalls installed. I am not happy, I can't tell if I even have virus protection and I can't contact iolo, because I don't have their e-mail address. My husband thinks it is a big scam.

I just ran into this problem myself. I have been running system mech. with the anti virus for over two years now and never had a problem. However, since the last update I can no longer update my virus definitions. Oddly enough I had this problem with Zone alarm several years ago and it was the reason I switched over to Iolo. I hope they can figure this out because zone alarm never was able to.

corps give virus to system mechanic 7 pro
i have the same problem. the info for the support is at the web site www.iolo.com. but do not expect any help. all they told me was that they are workin on the problem and a new upgrade will be available in a few days. they are waiting for the vista update but are instructed to not inform you of there lack of a solution and/or truth by the corp. advisors that have no clue on how to solve the problem.wow that read like bs. it was a great virus program when kaspersky was the virus server. which happens to be vista ready. i have been a customer of sys mechanic for 7 years and never had this trouble till now. also very disappointed but we are just the users and the obviously have mistaken us for some one that gives a s**t.

Just to add, I have the same problem, however, my Windows Sec Center states that Iolo is up to date and runnign perfectly. Its only teh program itself that is reporting that the defs are out of date.

I just ran into this problem too. I have been running system mech 7 Pro. And never had a problem until the last update I can no longer update my virus definitions. I have asked for help but get no reply from iolo.
