as soon as I double click the unzipped file it tells me i can't intall it on Vista Service Pack 2.

i have windows vista and the game doesnt work...got the new game and continue menu to show and after that its a black screen? any advise?

I wish mine was as happy as the rest how ever i can not get the patch to install. It keeps saying that i do not have ff7 installed yet I have been playing it. can anyone help

ok the patch works 100% but, i hava problem.
When you hand Sephiroth the Black Materia the game crashes. is there a patch somewhere that this bug can b fix'd?

For anyone with Black Screen problems or when you try to start the game it says "Encountered an error and has to close"

Try adding the updated tm20dec.ax codec from here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8I1KI216 to your C:\Windows\System32 folder then open the run box from the start menu and type:

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\tm20dec.ax

You may need to reboot to make it work. Also, if you want to un-install it you should run this before deleting it:
regsvr32 /u c:\windows\system32\tm20dec.ax

I have windows xp home edition. i've tried everything to run ff7, but everytime it starts up to were the Eidos logo should appear it gives me a windows error saying that ff7.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. if anyone can help please reply!!!!

Really need a help
errr.....can someone help me please, i have this patch and it wokrs nicely and no errors.. BUT!!!! when i go to COSMO CANYON..i stuck there forever!!!WHY??? b'cuz..when bugenhagen want to show me the 3D universe(inside his room) after Aeris said.."look a shooting star!" and the screen goes black...after that the screen shows them again..and NOTHING HAPPEN!!!!! i try every patch and search anywhere, but still can't find a thing to solve this problem...PLEASE, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME????? i really wanna play this game, i miss this game PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.... I BEG ANYONE OF YOU... :(
