Fraud and Trojan malware
First I purchased their system for $39.95 and was billed $54.95.. Then they do an "analysis" of my computer and say that I need their tech help for $224 Later I find out that thier analysis was actual a trojan malware piece which caused my computer to shut down, IE does not work right...It is real bad stuff. (one hope is that ms security essentials, did a scan and has cleared much of the damage up) But it looks like I will need a new computer...Stay away from these scumbags.

BAD BAD PROGRAM
I heard about it on the radio and tried it out I am so sorry I did!! After downloading it started running a scan, I stopped the scan so that I can make sure it was running my entire system and it wouldn't let me config it so I said what the heck just let it run the way it is set wrong cause I stopped the scan it will not start back up. I decided that I was not happy with the product and tried to uninstall THAT AIN'T HAPPENING it keeps saying that I have to close it in order to uninstall but will not let me close just keeps taking me to a internet page to buy the crap. So ok about that time a year when I reformat my hard drive anyway so just leave it there until. I do have the free version of Avast on my system and while sitting here today Avast has caught cyberdefender trying to download a trojan in my system not once but 4 times I know it is coming from cyberdefender cause avast shows a link from the site that is tring to download and the link is from CyberD. I have never had avast pop up with this threat until I installed cyberD. I highly suggest you STAY AWAY from this program if you don't want trojans. I tried AVG in the past but over time I came to see that it wasn't that great of a product either a friend of mine told me about Avast a few months ago, and I have been using it since. I though that maybe cyberdefender would be better and thanks to that program I come to trust Avast a little better.

Cyberdefender Rocks
I tried a few anti-virus projgrams, to include Norton (which issed several viruses), Pc Tools (it worked ok) and Panda (which really suckedk!). I tried Cyberdefender, and I've been happy with it for the last year. I did buy the upgrade and it's been well worth it!! The cust. support and computer help has been superb!! The system is kind of pay as you go for the help, but it's definitely cheaper (and quicker) than taking your computer to Best Buy then waiting 2 weeks for it to be fixed.

Saved me from Antivirus 2009
I looked at a lot of the reviews from the different antivirus programs, and they are all full of negative reviews - and some deservingly so. I tried a few and in the end found happiness with Cyberdefender.

Why?

1) Found some viruses and spyware that I knew was on the system (AVG did not find them), and took care of them (I used the paid version of Cyberdefender - the free version is only a scanner).

2) Great user interface, and easy to use, which was good when my kid was on the system and he hit an infected site - Cyberdefender walked him through it.

3) 24/7 computer help. My experience with them was very positive, not pushy, just trying to help, was able to to determine that one of my ram modules was bad, and how to fix it. Total cost was much lower then hauling the system to Best Buy so they could keep it 2 weeks and over charge me.

4) Protected me from some funky virus when I hit a blog that tried to take over my browser.

I am very happy with Cyberdefender and don't understand those who had issues with it, but that seems to happen with AV software.

I don't know how many of the negative "reviews" here are from people who work for other AV/AS companies. I don't work for anybody. I installed this software - quickly and easily; I used the program - ran fine; I uninstalled this software - quickly and easily. No problems at all!

Not just a scam, it's dangerous, Mon May 18 2009

After uninstall, I found that it had wiped out my hosts file, disabled regedit, and installed a virus. Had to do System Restore, run Spywareblaster and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

Dangerous download!, Fri May 08 2009

Tech support should be called "Upsell Guys"
I downloaded this software to test it out. Once DL, it started acting up and I phoned tech support. I gave the guy access to my pc and low and behold he "found a virus that was in the ini files - it started on March 4". Little did this guy know:
1. I am MS Certified and was simply testing out this program.
2. This pc was never online in the whole month of March.
3. When I pinned him down and told him these facts he panicked and basically went back to his offer. "We will fix your pc all up and make it like new for only $200 more".

Last but not least, the final portion of my test was uninstalling it. Good luck doing this if you are a novice. Even those with moderate knowledge will find this one challenging.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and avoid this one like to Pig Flu. The bottom line is that it did not scan incoming email, did not find all of the spyware, and did not come with HONEST tech support.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Run, Forest Run
What a piece of garbage!! As others have experienced I am not able to uninstall the software.
A call to their Tech Support went south pretty fast. The person I spoke with said that it was an issue with my computer and if I would just give him access he could correct it. YEAH RIGHT! My radar is already on high alert given the fact that I can't uninstall, the recording I got when I phoned was done by someone who's native language was not English, the Tech I got spoke barely understandable English, I have no idea where this company is located and he wants me to give him access to my computer?????

I am searching for a way to report this fraudulent company and get them jerked off the net. Any ideas?

I heard an add for this on the radio and wondered if it was a scam or actually something useful. I happen to be in a great position to test this because I had just installed Vista and the machine was completely clean. Hadn't even been on the internet yet. Downloaded and installed and did a spyware scan. Much to my surprise it found 11 spyware. I now understand why they claim to find more spyware then ANYONE else, well because they find spyware that doesn't exist. I even went through and looked up all the ones the claimed to find and no where on my computer were anything that would lead you to believe that spyware was there. COMPLETE SCAM!!!!

stay away!
I purchased Cyberdefender's Spyware and began immediately to experience problems with the running of my computer systems. The only way I could "get rid" of this program was a complete reinstall using OS. I'm not a computer wizard by any means, but I do know when a company's customer service does not address your problems in a timely manner that poses a big red flag to me!! I have tried to talk with someone from customer service on many occassions, only to be told I will hear from them in 24-48 hours, a voice message that is. None of that has been true. DON'T PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! It will be a nightmare if you do. I too wish I would have read a review of this product before buying it...my fault...the company's fault is this program doesn't work correctly and in a way 'infects' your system, and their fault as well for the shoddy customer service that is basically non-existant! STAY AWAY there are other safer and more reliable options out there.
