Yahoo Music Jukebox Plus
Reviews for Yahoo Music Jukebox Plus

jukebox plus
I liked Musicmatch just fine. Ran 8.2 until Yahoo took over. Then musicmatch went bonkers. Got use to Yahoo jukebox and now I can't use the plus features and can't get Musicmatch to work. Musicmatch should have keep upgrading musicmatch jukebox and Yahoo should have stayed out.

Yahoo jukebox
Yahoo replaced the MusicMatch Jukebox with a WMP 11 based player which shares the same audio problems as Microsoft's product. Don't expect the same clear audio as MusicMatch had and don't expect much support from them either.

Music Match Any Version
Now owned by Yahoo, so that means no tech support. My older registered version stopped working and would not uninstall or reinstall, could not install the new version 10. Will not finish installing. Tech support no help. Rumor has it that it has something to do with installing IE7, but I'm not giving that up for MMJB.

MMJB is getting fat. It needs to loose weight !!
I had Music Match 7.5 running for about 5 years with no problem at all, then on Sunday morning, it refused to start, so I decided it was time for an upgrade, I downloaded and installed version 10, and it seemed to go well until the load up/splash screen playing the mmjbstart.wav then it aborts 2 seconds later. Trying to restart it just does the same, thing, aborts 2 seconds into the splash screeen.
I uninstalled it, loaded up version 9, that got past the start screen, but kept getting an unknown error and had to close. Even though I could play my music files behind the error dialog box.
So that version was removed. I even tried the original 7.5 install file I used 5 years ago, That refused to even install, crashing twice during the installation. Version 8.5 was also frelling useless. The only version that would work was 8.2 but it had so many options that I'd never use and the upgrade key from my previous version didn't work so I couldn't access the Plus features.
My opinion, it should of been Beta tested for a hell of a lot longer than it was, if at all!!
MMJB now SUCKS!! Someone called it Bloatware and I totally agree. Version 7.5 was less than 10mb, now its been inflated to 25mb. Way to go MM!! NOT!!

Smokin RIP AND BURN SOFTWARE
This is a great peice of ripper-burner software. Pretty easy to use.I have used many cd burner-ripper this is 1 of the best.
Also comes with a nice player burns wav disc mp3 and mp3 pro. There is a free version it pretty hard to locate on the website. Just google musicmach free.
For a faster burn version not that expensive. Best out there for the money.

cd burner
Its great!

MusicMatch v.10
I have used MMJB since version 6 and have always found it comprehensive and easy to use. But with version 10, not only do many new features have fatal flaws, but some old, tried and true features disappeared.
With PLUS, the Super Tagging feature is great- until you realize (usually too late) that the tag creates a new folder with the new info (artist, album, etc.) in your target folder on your hard drive. If your WatchFolder happens to be the same (and it usually is) then when you check your drive for new music you have added EVERY FILE IS DUBLICATED IN YOUR LIBRARY!
As if that isn't bad enough, there is no way to fix the problem...the old OPTION-Clear Library from prior versions is gone as in the Create A New Library.
Is it just me or did these issues begin when Yahoo bought MM???

Great music resource
I have been using this for a year and can't live without it.

Musicmatch jukebox
Pros:
mp3 player: works great, sounds great
cd ripper/burner: excellent
media library: neat, simple, user-friendly
Super tagging: best, can rename large volume of files in seconds
volume leveling:great, mp3's are normalize and no disruption in its sound
internet radio: awesome, lots of stations
mp3 store(music download): good(based on friends opinion).. haven't tried it yet.
cd burning:excellent, specially when you get to "integrate" the sound enhancements (e.g. DFX) on your burned music tracks.
Con:
a simple feature it didn't have: crossfade.. almost all other media players already support crossfading of files/music, yet musicmatch still has such a feature.
a crossfade plugin for musicmatch might do the trick, though i'm having a hard time looking for one.
well, if crossfading of tracks aint much of a problem for you.. then this is the suitable jukebox for you.

I paid for Plus version and Yahoo took it over and destroyed a good product. So buyer beware is the rule, they took the money and sold out for Yahoo to destroy it.
