Winamp has many stupid features in the newer version. Try Winamp 2.95 it's simple to use and loads really fast.

The new version (5.12) is slower and less stable then the older versions. I removed it and went back to version 5.05.

winamp is an excelent media player ive never came across a player with such good sound quality but there is a flaw in the latest version 5.02. When i play i a file using direct sound a get a small 5 second audio kick back when changing to a different song. That also includes incoding multiple files at once. You would here a small 5 second delay of the previous song before the song start this problem is very anoying only happens in high quality tracks note happens in any mp3 incoder

winamp is my all time favorite player because of its quality in sound. No other player that i downloaded and i tell you iv downloaded many nothing matches the sound quality of winamp especially of the dsp plugins. best one to use is the adapt x also get the waves plugins and the entervideo expander dmo plugin surround incoder nothing beats (ice movie standerd) surround
