This is a beautiful screen saver I must admit... at first blush... but there are a couple of things wrong with it right from the start. Let's first look at what they did right... the setting is beautiful... the old house... and the waterwheel as well. Very well done. I must admit the most beautiful thing in the entire screen saver is the water... even though you can tell it too is being stretched and rendered near the house. The illusion of depth is there but lacking in randomization of water currents. The bad things about this screen saver are that the leaves on the trees move in unison like a blanket in the wind... they do that in real life but you can definately tell they are being streched and rendered on a flat plain especially when the screen saver switches to you walking across the bridge and you approach the tree on the right. This ruins the 3D effect the artist is trying to accomplish here. The water from the waterwheel is not very real either... the splash on the pond should be more intense with ripples... and that is just not happening here. Finally the sun is in the sky in the background behind the waterwheel and waterfall... and somehow like is shining directly onto the base of both of these items from above. That ruins the lighting effect as well. Overall it is beautiful... and I commend the artist trying to create a beautiful scene... but too many things are wrong with it and this ruins the entire effect.
