After downloading and installing ripcast, I went step by simple step to try it out as instructed by the main page.
when clicking a station to listen to, it consistently and persistendly tried to play it through windows media player which does not recognize the file extention pls.
Furthermore, "ripcast agent"1.1 as mentioned in the instructions is nowhere to be found.
Re-downloading and re-installing ripcast
gave same results. Oh well, too bad.
