NTI Backup Now Deluxe NT-2000-XP
Reviews for NTI Backup Now Deluxe NT-2000-XP

Backup NOW 3.0
Save your $$$, it is not acceptable for use on WIN XP systems. Here's why...
We periodically back up an image of our entire operating system and data to a second HDD, installed for just this purpose. Both drives are formatted to use NTFS, XP's default (and best) file structure. Backup works well - problem is how to restore the image to the system disk. Guess what, folks - you can't, not without an "Emergency Recovery Disk," which the system will not create without doing a full image backup to CDs.
What a laugh - can you imagine 40Gb on CDs? Not to mention that it is no longer a "schedule-able" task (who's gonna change the CDs every few minutes?).
This was purchased at CompUSA, who (understandably) will not accept returns of opened software packages. So, I called NTI today to see if there was a "workaround," or if not, how I could get some monetary relief. Here's the kicker - after confirming that the above problem description was accurate, and that they had no solution, they flatly refused to either return my money or offer any other kind of compensation.
Not only does NTI provide a defective product, which is advertised as being fully XP-compatible and is not, but their "customer support" is abysmal.
This version (NTI BackUp Now! 4 Deluxe - final) product proves to be successful in achieving great results over the older version.
