It was awesome I have it for my own computer and its free not only does it recommend and install updates it allows you to choose the updates you want you can choose when to update as well when you type in a search on google it shows you which websites are safe by having a green check mark and if not safe red check marks overall LOVED IT!

This is a terrible product, I installed McAfee Total protection 2010 on an older windows XP machine and I can't really tell if is effective, All I know is that when I start my computer in the morning it spends about an hour "downloading" and "Installing", I haven't found a way to disable this or postpone. There's nothing worse than software that assumes control of your computer at critical times without allowing some user intervention. It is not possible to perform other tasks while the updating is occuring on 2 GHz processor. It was not the cheapest available so I expected better. I will definately not purchase from McAfee again.

Perhaps having only 35 years of computing experience is my problem. Perhaps having worked with only a thousand or so applications on only a hundred brands of hardware, perhaps it is the PhD and having published scholarly papers on the theory of computing...I don't know. I do know I will not buy another McAfee product ever. It became impossible to install, impossible to get customer support and became apparently a gateway for malware to infect a sturdy old machine. If they had some sort of customer support to help former customers I might feel less antagonistic, but I am thoroughly disenchanted with McAfee products and support.

A great antivirus protector, stopped all viruses and trouble my computer was having. I highly recommend it!

had norton was rubbish, always found but cant clean. now on mcafee antivirus and firewall for 2 months not had a thing since well done mcafee 10 out of 10

this is most trusted antivirus. Without Mcafee means your PC without windows

This is the perfect antivirus software! Those who holler "Norton" stay and switch to some cafee...I'm running with XP and NEVER had a problem with McAfee. It's stable, catches trojans, easy to configure...What else you expect? I almost forgot: it doesn't slow your computer. Still most effective. TRY!

That´s a n1 program, but its expensive !
But it is still the best !!!!!! :c)

just ligther on memory and cpu usage, and still does the best job.
Norton allways seemed to "break" some process or cause delays.
