I have used this product for years. It auto-translates the binary of the cache for me, and deletes whatever I tell it to. So many of these apps just READ the cache contents. This was the first one I found that also cleaned it.

I use ccleaner and sometimes other cleaners as well [JD Powertools]. I always use them in combination as they all miss 'something' 'somewhere'. Index.dat Cleaner works very well as a part of that package. I recommend it to others and install it on all of my computers without fail. Beware of the cookies you delete, [especially if you have Gmail, Yahoo, etc). you may lock yourself out of your internet mail for a bit!!! If you porn-surf you NEED this nonje in combination with some of the others mentioned above. I maintain systems, and some of my clients have odd but not uncommon 'hobbies'. I tell them to clean the .dat after every run or jag they go on and also use ccleaner.

Awesome, to see what is hidden...and watch it disappear

The freeware provided here is excellent and we can use it anywhere needed.
It proves useful for me on daily basis.

Index.dat suite is a small utility for clearing your index.dat files at startup.
It works. What I like a lot is that this program allows you to explore the cookies and other data in your index.dat files. It is efficient and faster than I expected in finding(scanning)those files. For freeware utilites this is the best for index.dat files that I have tried so far. It is better than the shareware programs that I have used! It is not too hard to use or set up. I would have given this program a 5 if it had better information for helping or describing the program.
