This is will get you up and running quickly. It runs fast. You must configure it just after installation. Very easy to configure and start running. You will have to start the config screen manually. It does not start on its own after installation.

I higly recommend this program, has got all the things simple to use and fully feautred.

you must enter the forum of the freeftpd webpage before installing. most precise: bug forum. When you read a few threads ou discover that this is a beta product not recommended in this stage

Excellent utility! Simple to setup and use. Have your server up and running in about two minutes.

Does not allow multiple users to access the same file. One file/One user at a time. Needs a lot of work.

This fine freeware works quite well. If you are using certain versions of Dreamweaver to connect to this server via sftp, be sure to deselect both "Use FTP performance optimization" and "Use Alternative FTP move method." The freeFTPD service on a Windows 2000 server repeatedly stopped & then restarted itself when these settings (particularly the performance optimization one)was set. Once deselected, this service just keeps running and giving.

The product is really nice, and I like the feature set. It's also easy to use. Unfortunately, running it "as a service", so it's available all the time and when no one is logged in simply doesn't work. When trying to stop it from the admin tools-Services, it crashes and won't restart. If you can get it started manually and log out, it immediately dies.

Very easy to use and very robust to use in mission critical solutions.

Easy to use and admin your FTP server.

Nice FTP server software which is really easy to use. Only downside is that it is really slow. On LAN connection you don't get over 1 meg/s speeds on transfers which is really strange. Would need some optimizations but otherwise really cool software.

No reason to look anywhere else for a complete and easy to use package. Although not listed it works on XP and XP-Pro without all the .NET and IIS garbage.
