Good Anti virus but not that strong these days

CA eTrust EZ Antivirus has come along way. I trust and use it.

When i was updating virus definition on my imate jam i got this error and now my Etrust virus is not working what to do ?

I think eTurst is a good antivirus
and it always detects all the virus in
my computer and because of this antivirus
all the virus in my computer are now dead.
so i am very happy.

Every time I check the eTrusts on demand log I see a long list of files folders with the message Scan Failed, at the end of each indviduial file folder. This bothers me and because of this I may not purchase this software.

I recently downloaded the free anti-virus on a trial basis for 1 year... after 89 days the up dates that are done daily for the - Virus updates have ceased to happen so now my PC is unprotected...! I wonder if it's a centralised gilch from EZ

This has to be one of best programs of its kind - easy to use and very efficient

last year i gave a review regarding this software in the review i said that i my not buy it as it always said scan failed in the log file. Since then i contacted eTrust.They were very polite and helpful too me explaining why i was getting this message in the log files. They went out of there way even though i was only still on a trial basis. I have now purcased the sofware for anther year as this av did well durng the period i was trying it out.Ridley

From the day i am using e-Trust EZ antivirus i become tension free from being my computer hacked by antivirus.

i have been useing eTrust av on and off for some time now on a years free try out.
so far i have found it to be user friendly. No problems uninstalling and installing also it has found one well known virus and a few trogens. however i have been having some conflicts with my software although i dont think this has anything to do with eTrust what does bother me is each time i check the eTrusts on demand log i see a long list of files folders with the message Scan Failed. at the end of each indviduial file folder. this bothers me and because of this i may not purchase this software.

the best product that i have use in a very long time very good

I highly recommend eTrust EZ Anti virus software, it gives me great satisfaction knowing that my p c is being looked after by e Trust EZ Anti virus. In my opinion it is the best product on the market.

I ran the 1 year trial of CA Etrust EZAV and 1 month before the trial period ended, I got browser ad popups offering me renewal deals, regardless of what I was doing. It would open up a browser and remind me that it was "about to" expire in the middle of my playing a game.

I got tired of the nagging, so I decided to give avast a try. In case software vendors read this... the most effective way to make sure I DON'T buy your software is to use these kinds of obnoxious nagging tactics. If I wanted random pop-ups I wouldn't be trying to protect my system.

Anyway, I installed avast and lo and behold, it found a number of viruses that had been entirely missed by CA ETrust EZAV. Yes, ETrust did catch a number of issues while I was using it, but even if they're lagging a bit with updates, the regular system scans I do should have caught them at some point.

Between the horrible way you're "reminded" that you're within a month of expiration several times a day and the fact that it missed the entry of the viruses and didn't detect them in subsequent scans, I will no longer be recommending that anyone I know uses this product. I'm surprised CA would diry their reputation which I'd always thought of as good, by selling this product under the CA label.
