Its good to have an Av like BD it detects a single task and checks for the users permission but it makes surfing a little hasty.. but its overall performance is good Try it out !!

I installed a paid version of BD and immediately noticed my computer slowed to a bloody crawl! I pay for DSL and BitDefender has made my computer page loading time slower than the slowest landline ISP!!! When I disable BitDefender I get my computer back! Speeed and ease of surfing and loading times of pages--increases tenfold without BitDefender enabled! Now my problems is: do I sacrifice the speed I want for a virus scanner that runs all the time in the background? Anyone else notice your computer loading time slowed to a crawl with BD?

Bit Defender 8 is the latest in this software. Easy intergration with win 98 through win xp. No software conflicts. Scans all files if desired. One of the best out there with the exception of ESET NOD32. I have tried everything and Bit Defender and ESET NOD32 are the best hands down!!!

Unable to contact anyone after installing this trial version. Unfortunatley uninstall did not work, was left with files on my computer. Can not get support to remove. My url configuration settings disabled me from using internet admin site for my website. To date have not been able to fix.

Very satisfied with this one antivirus. The virus content scanner immediately blocked any infected file on access and caught every single virus i had. No system overload, fast updates.
