AVP is just what the doctored ordered in my case. A client of mine (im a PC Technician) brought a computer into me with spyware/viruses and it was such that it would automatically close any AV or Spyware removal tool/program, including HiJackThis, if you tried to open/install them. It also made it so that the Processes tab in the Task Manager was blank, therefore I couldn't kill any processes. Needless to say, I was able to find this program on the Net, install it and was able to view and kill the processes that was causing everything to happen, and I had the computer cleaned up and ready for the customer in no time. Just want to say that this program is sweet and it really saved my butt, and my client's :-D

looks safe and it works well.
