I am agreed 100% with the above comentaries. I can not send email to my customers.I wonder if i can find something better I will move.Please let meknow if you know something.

ACT is a disappointing program that is riddled with errors, not reliable, does not do what it is represented to do. If I could find something else to use I would. It is slow and resource hungry. The programs seem to be collapsing under the weight of their poor code. It is a pain to use on both major and minor levels. The E-mail client is poor (can not send pictures and lots of features don't even work) - they refer you to Outlook but interface is slow and poorly designed. Syncing databases is always a problem. You can not use this program without an expensive support plan, and when you call, be prepared to wait up to an hour to get through.

ACT does not integrate well with Microsoft Outlook. As a matter of fact an Outlook user won't even receive more than one contact vcf files in a email. One at time, for both senders and receivers. One of the most frustrating experience for me and my colleagues. So unless you are going to use it within a close community, otherwise, forget about it.

Having been an ACT! user since its inception, it is so sad to see a once efficient contact management slowly transform into a convoluted and slow moving animal beginning with ACT!2005 and on. Thank god we're still able to get ACT!6.0 on this link. It truly is - the last and final great ACT!

If you are going to use ACT! get this version (6). ACT2005 was buggy and so is 2006. The file formats were changed apparently to make it incompatible with the ACT for Palm and WinFax apps, or maybe just to slow it down so you can drink more coffee.

Used ACT when DOS. Like simplicity and speed. Need better link to OUTLOOK and PALM.

I have used this product for years. It is highly customizable, easy, intuitive, and quick to use. I send and track faxes, letters and emails in seconds. I print envelopes, letters and reports in seconds as well. When the Outlook is used as the email client working in the background with Act, then all of the benefits of Outlook's antispam integration and Outlooks powerful rules for handling incoming and outgoing email are utililized as well - plus outgoing and incoming the emails can be linked to contacts. Addon software is also available to link the Act database and functionality to UPS & FedEx shipping software, Quickbooks and other programs. Act also quickly syncs to my Palm based phone/PDA.

I like the program, but the email interface would benefit by a keyword search like Outlook, and some other features of Outlook. You enjoy the good with the bad.

I have had some difficulties with integrating with outlook and outlook express, and ACT!'s own email program is lacking... I also would like to see the ability to rename the USER FIELD 1, etc. fields to different names (and if you can do this, why isn't it easy to figure out how?)

In this new version they seem to have brought it all together and hit the mark; internet services, intergration with outlook, and simplicity if you want it. This is a very powerful program that anyone can use, personal or corporate.
