FireFTP: Free FTP Client for Mozilla Firefox
FireFTP is an add-on for Firefox that was especially developed for users who have been utilizing an FTP desktop client such as FileZilla. It was built for those who frequently use it for data transfer. FireFTP is free to download and it offers full support for FTP, FTPS and SFTP. This add-on will only run on Firefox supported platforms. If you have this extension installed on your browser, you will be able to use this lightweight FTP client and work in Portable Firefox. The FireFTP extension instantly transforms Firefox into an improvised and quick two-way FTP application. The tab displays a simple two-pane screen on the Mozilla Firefox window that allows you to create copies of files between the desktop and a remote site. The left pane displays the system for local folders and files, as well as a listing of files that are in the current file directory and a directories tree. The right pane displays the remote FTP server. In between the two panes, you will see two buttons that contains arrows, one for uploading files and the other for downloading. FireFTP also has the capability of connecting through the proxy servers.
Aside from being able to quickly transfer files and data, FireFTP also includes additional advanced features such as directory comparison, SSL encryption, integrity checks, syncing directories when navigating, drop and drag and file hashing. FireFTP also features a special integrated Toolbar button that allows you to easily work with your files. For you to be able to use this button, you must first add it to your toolbar.
