Problem fixed.
I had the same problem as "Sammy" who posted here before. It said the FF7 was not installed. I tried to run FF7 and had an error. Can't read registry or something. I deleted the install and tried installing again but this time I installed the minimum files (needs to access disk) option. It worked. Wished I could install everything (I'm sure it would play faster) but at least it works now.

crap!
i tried installing this patch, and it didn change anything at all..all i got was a big blue screen that played the music for about 5 secs..then just stayed there..i had to reboot my computer everytime!...doesnt work for me..sux im getting the ps1 rip version so i can play this on an emulator..way easier

whenever i try to load this (with xp patch installed) the screen just stays blank then comes up ffvii exe has encountered a problem and needs to close,

Okay guys I need help. I downloaded the game, and realized I needed the patch for XP, so I downloaded it, and installed it.. then I went to go run the game.

and it gets up to the screen where it says New game and continue, but the cursor is on continue, and the letters are faded gray, I dont know how to move the cursor.. and I think its frozen as well.. I haven't been able to play the game, and I woudl really like to as soon as possible

can anyone help me?

This helped me to pass the Corel Prison
But Right After i get Cid in Rocket Town, The Game Crashes, Heeelp Pleas , i dont know how to fix it

Ok for the people having the graphics issue this is what my first search turned up and fixed the problem right away 8bit fails right every thing else passes... go to start menu open run command and type dxdiag and turn off your direct 3d (sounds weird huh?) trust me now go to your ff7 config and set it to 128 or whatever you will notice everything fails but the 8bit which just has a - there close and run ... bingo it works!!! No more garbaged graphics and game runs fine hope this helped!!!
