Bahhh this game is so addicting as problematic on XP...i ve got crashed on chocobo race, re-installed and done but now im crashed on rocket town when leaving by plane, showing the clip and then freezes...

It's hard to really give this a score as this seems to have worked for some but it hasn't solved my problem. I'm currently stick at Junon (after the inital parade) and if I go to the harbour automatically crashes & brings up the windows report error screen. And if I go down the small side alley or to the top floor of the third doorway the screen just goes black & if i look at the task manager ff7 is not responding.
Also on the first floor of the 3rd door building there is some serious graphics distortion

This patch worked great for chocabo races but when i finish beating that fat guy and the bronco tries to take off my stupid game errors out. ANy ideas?

ARGHHH!! i thought i had finally found the solutions to all my problems but then i found that when i tried to use the patch, it sez that i need to install the game first. the problem with this is... I DOWNLOADED THIS PATCH SO I COULD INSTALL IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! if anyone can help me or give me a solution as to why i cant install the game... please email me!! T_T

I downloaded it, unzipped it, and when I clicked it, it say's I have to install the game. I had! So how? >.< If anyone knows a way to get around this, e-mail me, pls.

This patch is a live saver, but I also crash when I get to the crater the first time, on whatever the name was of that icy mountain... :D

Anyway, I have a solution! I don't know if this also helps when crashing with the tiny bronco, but atleast it helps with the crater.

You have to replace tm20dec.ax in system 32 with this file. Before you replace it, back up your original tm20dec.ax, in case anything goes wrong.

When the timer is at the end a popup will open over the timer, terminate that popup by clicking on the x and there is the download button. :D

All major issues seem to be resolved with this patch. I still experience the occasional crash upon entering a battle, but not any major obstacles, except for one. Every time I tried to enter battle mode against Palmer to steal the Tiny Bronco, the game would crash. Going into the config program and changing my graphics renderer from Direct3D to Software mode allowed me to play past this part, and since I've switched back to D3D, I've had no problems.

To everyone who's game has crashed while any mini-game screen was loading up eg., chocobo races, snowboarding, submarine, etc.
I think I have found the solution to the problem. Anytime my game would crash prior to these mini-games, I would go into configuration and set the resolution to 680x800 quarter-screened. The screen might be smaller for the mini-games, but hell, it works, right? It did for me anyway. So before you go and download any crazy patch, try that out.

i also get stuck after cloud hands over the black materia. i've edited the movie files, but i can't save them to a disk. anyone who knows how to edit the movie files, should give a post of how to simply edit them out.

It's downloading now, but from what I've read, this should fix all your problems.
I've been killing Dyne for days now and it always crashed before race. Damn XP bugs.
thanks patch makers. I would hump you if i weren't so straight.
