I only tell new users or think to try users, I test this Antivirus Software, it's one of the best on it's catagory. No loading problem, cant required huge hdd space, dont disturb you while you are working. So try it, I am sure you love it.

AVG - the MUST HAVE Antivirus
Let me make this simple. I've used AVG free edition for over three years and it has NEVER failed me yet! It updates automatically each day and it takes up very little RAM. A wonderful...no.."outstanding" product! Thank you Grisoft!!!

I have found this program much better than my previous Norton Anti-Virus 2004 updated. It is a credit to the programmers who have created such a good piece of software. I give it a mark of 10 out of 10 for ease of use and performance.

Needs to Re-boot cause previous update wasn't finished, Fri Jul 22 2005

Yeah, I installled AVG Free about a year ago, then it started saying that and would never update and would always claim it needed a re-boot, so I would, and try updating on the next boot, same thing.
I had to reinstall windows to a new directory (by renaming my program files folder from DOS) and then deleting the old windows folders when installation finished.
It had found me about half a dozen viruses or so between that time though.
Mostly the 'Obvious' ones though.

After a while I just got sick of re-installing it, after fatal after fatal in VxD AVG Core.
It did find viruses though but was a headache to use.

I tried to download something I saved on a floppy, and AVG wouldn't let me because there was a virus on one of the programs I had saved! And yesterday it caught a Trojan Horse virus on something I downloaded, but didn't open yet. Thank goodness I had this!
