Review for VirusTotal Scanner

Sparkle but fizzles out.
Unzips into a folder, 5 files inside I deleted, the setup.exe loads a 32-bit program, flashy LARGE GUI, no real controls. Browse just gets U down to 1 file, won't browse/scan entire folder/drive, so U can drag/drop then big name brand off-site companies purport to scan 40 sets of bug-sigs, so I loaded a spyware infected file, sows 'hot' under the $harware version of same program online that showed it clear! Go figure, hard to uninstall unless U use the uninstall.exe that it comes with, leaving orphans & a registry mess. Tried it, not that good so I removed it. Lotsa glitter GUI, big-name (?) Mc-scans that couldn't catch a simple spyware test file. Try it U may wonder how it scans billions of sigs in on large file VERY fast & misses a bug any freeware or shareware scanner finds.

I ran this file through Metascan Online, which stated that AVG (1 out of the 30 antivirus engines used) detected this as a threat... might want to double check before using: http://www.metascan-online.com/results/y6dopurqpvx6yemzfkcp8q0sgdqaooss
