My best friend is in a marching band, and this year one of the songs she played was "The Phantom of the Opera" so we go out and rent the movie to go and watch precisely she was playing. The movie was amazing, and the voices to me sounded quite fine. But then my older sister told me about the original cast with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman and bought me the CD to compare the voices. I listened to the CD, and wow I realized how the singers in the movie didn't even compare to the originals....quite displeased me actually. Even my friend and her family who loved the movie thought that Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman were better singers. And after watching the movie then listening to the originals, I tried watching the movie and it seemed kind of corny to me.
