TFS Secure Messaging Server is a server-based email security and management solution for Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, and Novell GroupWise, as well as any other SMTP-based email system. Designed as an integral add-on for LAN-based mail systems, TFS Secure Messaging Server is transparent to the end user, policy-based, and provides a comprehensive encryption security, content filtering, and gateway connectivity solution for an organization's email system. The product’s central administration of digital certificates makes it possible to protect an organization’s users from spam and viruses by allowing easy implementation of email “white lists.”

The freeware product has no limitations on the time it can be used --there is no limiting "free trial period." Freeware users can choose to purchase an annual support subscription, which also provides access to future product updates and enhancements, as well as a free graphical email traffic analysis tool, TFS MailReport.
