This program looks good on your desktop but will crash and burn on the first attempt. This result pretty much speaks for itself. Don't you just love it when does this before you can get started.

22222 SuperScan V4

Is it just me or did Foundstone improve Superscan to the point of being hard to use and inaccurate. I just downloaded both V3 and V4 from their site and ran a little head-to-head (out of the box) evaluation. Yes V4 is faster, but at what cost? V3 found all for IPs on my network and rightly identified two of them as being the same system, while V4 could not resolve the host names during the scan. V3 found a total of 9 TCP ports while V4 found 4 live systems, 0 open TCP ports and 1 open UDP port, although it did find 4 live systems.
V3 log:

I will play with it (V4) some more, but frankly I don’t like it as well as V3.

I've loved using ver3 and just tried ver4. Simple, easy to use, and it works. I couldnt admin the network without it.
