SetPrinter Description:
This is a small application designed to make it easy to switch the Windows Default Printer. Right click on the SetPrinter Icon in the taskbar, and then click on the printer you wish to use as default. The current default printer is shown in bold type. Double click on the taskbar to open the Printer Properties window or the Printer Spooler window, this can be defined in the configuration window. A unique feature of this program is the ability to define location settings based on IP ranges, and have the default printer automatically changed when locations change or on start up. Very useful for laptop users who change location frequently.

This little program is terrific. You can define a default printer based on IP range. For instance, at work the range is 192.168.1.x so I can say "when my IP is in this subnet, use printer X. At home, my range is 192.168.10.x and I can say there for the printer to be printer Y. It even has a function for "if no IP match, then use printer Z". Very easy to use and very stable on Windows Vista.
