Free program - you get what you pay for

Many problems as far a DV/firewire goes - Version 1.0.1 act more beta release. I tried this on a full NLE editing system that works with no issues.
1> Unless you use the buffer option you will drop about 50% of all frames captured.
2> Codec options exist for "compression" however you really have no "options" when you Choose any codec. STOIK has left out any interface to that actual codec.
3> DV audio is, by default, 48k yet the highest option in this app is 41k. Thusly for use in most editing programs you would have to reconvert the audio back to 48k.
4> Even though one of the "selling points" is the "Ability to output DV AVI to DV camcorder" in reality it will not play back *any* dv file. Any DV file I tried will return an error of "System Multimedia error: An invalid media type was specifed. Error code 8, subcode 0x0, result 0x80040200" This included a file captured with the STOIK utility.
5> Unable to select multiple files for firewire output (Which is a null issue as you can't output in the current version anyway)
6> Does not seem to capture time code info or date_time info. (maybe it is not supposed to) Because of the limitations it is somewhat impossible to test DV options any more.
