Regdat Description:
Regdat displays the contents of copies of the Win9x/Me Registry files System.dat, Classes.dat, and User.dat in a Regedit like interface (it can not deal with WinNT/2K/XP registry files). You can search for keys and values and export them. Also functions to compare the file with the current Registry are provided as well as tools to edit the file.

Simply one of the BEST tools I have ever used. Incredibly fast saves and searches. Compare file to registry should have been built into Microsoft standard regedit app. I cannot think of how many times this toll has helped me.
Mention in the same breatth as Sysinternals outstanding tools. Kudo's to the author/developer...a fine job
I've been using this software for years. I first bought it upon a registry corruption, it helped me save lot of data.
Now I use it regularly to read files from former Windows installations.
It's a 5 stars software, NOT A SINGLE other software does what this one does (I have tried dozens). All others softwares claiming that they will fix your registry do so only if you registry is not broken!
This software is now part of my "computer salvage toolbox", it's a must have for any technician.
