PowerOutlines Publisher's Description:
Keep notes and information organized in folders and topics in an Explorer like interface. PowerOutlines supports multiple documents and any number of topics, folders, and branch levels on the tree.
Multiple items can be selected at once, in order to drag, copy, cut, print, delete, create links, or just get their titles. Moving topics across different catalogs (outline files) is straightforward, using copy and paste.
Text editing includes features like joining, splitting, compressing and expanding lines, enclosing text, indenting, sorting, applying email quotes, bullets and numbers, text alignment, changing text case, quoting and commenting, and columnar block copy, paste, sorting and adding.
Tables pasted from the Internet can be automatically aligned and comma-separated text (CSV) rendered legible using the "Format Table" and "Format CSV" features. Binary files can be opened in hexadecimal view .
The search feature retrieves a list of all topics that contain a word or expression. Similarly, in a topic, all lines containing a specific word can be shown.
A flexible Favorites feature can open catalogs, documents, web pages, and even launch programs, and any kind of files in their respective applications with a single click.
The "Projects" feature allows saving and restoring a specific environment of catalogs and documents, which can also include other programs and files.
Catalogs can be exported to HTML, and individual topics can be saved as files or viewed in a web browser.
There is built-in access to Windows Explorer, File Properties, and the Windows Registry. And locating a file being edited, or from a path in the current text, is just a click away!
The program comes in two versions: Std and Pro. The trial version is the Pro version.
The current update includes improvements, changes and bug fixes.
