Mozilla 1.2.1 review
Reviewed by: Scott McKillop, Sat Dec 21 2002
Get the latest 1.2.1 (Out Dec 2, 2002)Better than Netscrape; tabbed browsing & pop-up stopper missing from IE6, Easy way for even a total novice to edit (improve!) a web page, even someone elses. Set your home page to http://slashdot.org/ and your in the fast lane to leaving Windoze behind.

Mozilla 1.6
Reviewed by: M. Hymer, Fri Feb 06 2004
Have been running Mozilla 1.6 for a couple of weeks now. Other reviews stated it was faster than IE; this is not my experience. IE renders pages faster and better and is more compliant with web standards. I have had problems getting Mozilla to work with certain websites and especially with java. IE handled all of these pages flawlessly. Don't get me wrong-I am not a Microshaft shill by any standard, but Mozilla is not getting it done for me. And what is the point in having to use two browsers. That's just stupid. The thing that aggravates me most is people "reviewing" the software who report obviously bogus information. The main reason I downloaded the program were the reports of a speedier and less resource hogging program. Not true.(It may use slightly less resources, but nothing to write home about and if you have multiple instances and or tabs open it won't give all the added resources back unless you close everything and that led to a couple of lock-ups for me. The speed issue is a flat out lie. As I stated before IE is faster. As for the positives: I love the fact that this browser incorporates a cookie blocker and a pop-up blocker. These items are as advertised. Skins are a positive also. The form filler is buggy but also very handy. Other things I don't like include not being able to customize the toolbar,no links toolbar(very handy if you haven't tried it in IE)and changes in font sizes not being permanent. Mozilla has potential but it's not as good as IE at the thing that it should do better than anything else, yet.

Mozilla is a lot faster than IE. I was surprised by its speed in displaying web contents, and the user friendly interface it offered. Definitely, I will give it a home on my desktop now, and give IE the bag. Latest version is Mozilla 1.6. It is greatful for what Mozilla done for the internet highway, all credits to the builders of Mozilla.
Keep up the good work Moz!
