Lydia Email Agent is a small, fast windows program that monitors up to 15 email accounts.
Lydia not only notifies you when new email arrives but also filters spam, lets you read and reply to email and delete unwanted email. Lydia includes aggressive spam filtering to keep out unwanted email. Lydia also supports multiple SMTP settings and SMTP authentication.

I've been using this program for years and it just keeps getting better. In all that time I encountered only one problem - a program called "Web Activity Monitor" causes Lydia to lock and it's almost certainly due to some conflict caused by WAM.
