I just downloaded version 5.5, installed, and trialed IEsure. No way this is staying on my computer. After installing IEsure, it took 55 seconds to load my home page. I used BHO Demon to disable the BHO for IEsure and the page only took 7 seconds to load fully. I reenabled their BHO and again the load time to completely retrieve the page was over 50 seconds. Yeah, it might provide some nice features but it chokes the hell out of the bandwidth for the browser. No thanks. IEsure has been uninstalled.
Also, they need to improve their uninstall procedure. After uninstalling IEsure, it left behind C:WindowsSystem32iesure.exe. It also left behind the "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareXUEBROTHERS" although there was nothing under it. I'm still trying to figure out a couple of class IDs that got left behind. Good thing that I use InstallWatch to take a snapshot before installing IEsure and analyzed the changes remaining after uninstalling IEsure to let me know what remnants got left behind.
