It's a fine program, but I miss some tutorials, that's a major loss!

This incredible software has amazing features such as nurbs and facet as modeling, building worlds for computer games or just simply projects or movies is just a few clicks away with the amazing terrain maker, atmosphere and star field builder built into the program. Features that usualy costs 100's of dollars alone. The animation system is great but could use a little work. When working with models be sure to work with a high resolution. Else when you'll cut or deform the model. It might leave unwanted marks. The deform engine in v.9.0 needs a bit more flexibility. But you have basic enough means to creat great graphics. The texture system is advanced but do miss a few features such as bitmap sizing if the bitmap is too big. The rendering system is simply breath taking. You couldn't beleive your PC could ever come up with such a thing. while using photon and global illumination. If you render in HDTV resolution. You will notice your work come alive with such a great and innovative 3d feature. The joint system is great but it does lack the squeletal system that most popullar 3d software such as Maya, 3D studio Max and Animation Master has today. But the creator insured me it would be available in the Version 10. Because there is some things missing and there seems to be connectivity problems when cutting and modifying low resolution models, can't give it a high rating. But just to let you know, this program is still a great program for those who don't want to spend a fortune on something that for alot less could do about the same. This program is for you! Else then that the greatest features I like are the following; Animator is great, easy to use but slightly lacking a few things, Else then that it's super. The Terrain system is fantastic. Possibly one of the biggest reasons to buy this software is the world building system. So easy and fast also. If your a person that likes to make riven like games and movies. This program is too in world building. The rendering engine is possibly one of my favorite. Unless the model is broken or corrupted like I told you with the low resolution models. You'll get breath taking views.

Else then that my cons are this:

The zoom feature in area's you'd like to zoom in isn't there. The only zoom feature I have seem to have found was a simply % zoom in/out feature you usualy see in popullar image editing software, too bad he couldn't put a simple magnifying glass feature like you see in most software.

The modeling system I find lacks alot of things such as axis, envelope and basic features such as that. Which makes modeling good graphics a bit hard. There is no button to push where you'd only want to work with a selection of front points by sellecting it with your mouse. When you select for example the front of a face but the problem is that it selects the back of the face also. That pisse me off a bit. So the modeling engine does need some work.

The deform is a bit simple. Yet think he could do a bit more on the deform. Maybe adding axis bending for having an effect more like Alice in Wonderland tower bending for a kind of imaginary effect. Tryied to bend a tower at the way it shound. But it seems the deform is very limited and isn't as flexible as it should be. The deform should have a feature with a line with points in it so you can direct wich way and how to be deformed. So actualy it would be more of a costumised deform then a controled limited deform.

The animator looks great but one feature that for me I find hard is when making camera turns. It seems I didn't find at least a button that says to the camera to keep it's eye on a specific objects. Having such a feature is a very good one. It allows to make a very important and popullar motion that most film makers use in movies today!

else then some features that needs work or added. The program is still grand never the less. but after a while people should get used to it enough to make beautiful scenes and work of art. Hope that the programmer will make additional and important upgrades with amazing features the next version!
