Colorful Movie Editor - disappointing

I simply wanted to splice 4 .wmv together, so I
downloaded this software to give it a shot. I deleted
it after 5 frustrated minutes.
. Has its own look & feel, which is not a problem, but
there is no real guidance on how to use it. The Help
function is sparse and the English is difficult/
distracting (which I can live with if the author does
not have English as a mother tongue.)
. Application comes up in a full-size window and I couldn't
resize it. Doesn't help much if there's no instruction
and you're trying to drag-n-drop. Also the video display
size seemed fixed - odd as it offers several different
resolutions.
. Nag windows nag just a bit too often. By every critical
function. Also, apparently a nag tag is inserted every
30 sec. in the output.
. While writing the application blocked requiring a reboot.
I don't have time for this.
Using WIN98SE on a Pentium II/233 MHz/159 MB.
