Catalog Max application screenshot

Catalog Max is a tool designed to help you catalog your floppy disks, hard drives, optical disks, CD-ROMs, or just a single folder. It only takes a few seconds to find a file (such as a MP3 file) in all catalogs you have created. You can even customize your own catalog type and category so you can manage your catalogs more easily and more efficiently. Catalog Max is designed especially for the computer user with many CD-ROMS or floppy disks.

Operating System Support: Win95, Win98, WinME, WinNT 4.x, Windows2000

44444 Needs more Documentation

Works as advertised, but the online documentation is unfortunately poor. I realize that it takes time to create an HTML step-by-step tutorial, but like most PC users, I already don't have enough hours in the day to get half of what I need to get done, done -- and is there anything more maddening than downloading software that gets fantastic review by professional software testers, but then you scratch your head for hours trying to figure it out? The worst example of this lately is Dantz Retrospect, maddeningly strangley worded dialog boxes, I ended up trashing it, even though it's supposedy a '5 Star' product -- rates Zero stars if I can't figure it out. Catalog Max is OK, but you'll be scratching your head for a little while just trying to figure out what the hell you're supposed to do with it, the documentation is 'sparse', full of grammar errors, and fails to give real life examples of just how and why you would use this software. I guess it all makes perfect sense in the developers head, but left me scratching my head.
