Review for Blaze Audio Wave Breaker
Well worth the ten bucks!
I tried out various programs trying to find one that would split large audio book WAV files (700MB) into separate tracks for easier listening. The second best was VinylRipper which is intended to be used to make MP3s from vinyl record albums. It choked on my huge WAV files, though and kept crashing. That was version 1.0, by the way. The best one I used was this one -- Wave Breaker. It analyzes a WAV file and copies the contents to a bunch of smaller WAV files, numbered sequentially, "broken" at silent parts. You can specify how long the silence should be. I like using 1.5 seconds but you can use whatever you want. All in all, this thing works great. Dont' bother trying to crack it -- It's only ten bucks!!

The description incorrectly implies that it works with MP3 files. However, it only reads in WAV files. Useless if your files are already in MP3 format.
